Wild Deer & Hunting Adventures cover

Wild Deer & Hunting Adventures

A$8.95 Quarterly

WILD DEER & HUNTING ADVENTURES magazine has been set up by a keen deer hunter, with the support of an enthusiastic panel of supporters. Since its inception there has been an almost overwhelming amount of material coming in from ordinary deer hunters, keen to participate in promoting their chosen sport. The first issue of 84 pages, of this quarterly magazine appeared on the newsagents shelves in the spring of 2004, and in seven issues has grown to 144 pages with the current Summer 2006/2007 release. The aim of the magazine is to promote deer hunting as an ethical recreational pursuit. Readers are encouraged to join, and participate in the activities of the deer hunting organisations represented in the magazine, so as to give a united voice when taking a pro-active roll in government game management decisions. Education and involvement of junior hunters is actively encouraged. Readers are invited to contribute photos or articles of a wide variety of deer hunting methods, on a voluntary basis. We do not pay for articles! Unlike most of the other hunting publications we accept copy in any form at all, (even the proverbial, thumb nail dipped in tar) we then convert it to interesting articles that deer hunters have an affinity with. We like to have at least 3 feature article's each issue which sometimes highlights an exotic overseas experience. Australian hunters have traditionally visited USA, Canada, British Columbia, Spain, Africa, United Kingdon, New Zealand to hunt chamois, thar and the various species of deer. These articles attract keen interest from all sides of the Globe. and we have been inundated with material.
